“Suffering exists, but no one who suffers.
Deeds exist, but no doers are found.
A path there is, but no one who follows it.
Nirvana is, but no one who attains it.”
― Zen saying

The wish to understand and heal the human mind and heart is a universal desire explored deeply by thinkers across East and West. Psi Zen combines modern psychology with Zen Buddhism and Taoism to offer a non-dogmatic, ritual-free path to understand your own mind, embrace your true nature, and experience reality as is.
What is Zen Therapy?
Zen Therapy is the therapeutic method that brings Psi Zen’s philosophy into daily life.
It uses psychological concepts to translate Zen insights and Taoist wisdom into practical ways to inspire cognitive and behavioral changes that foster harmony with life.
Zen Therapy sessions aim to help you discover your self-concept, let go of your self-attachment, and start living in accordance with your own nature of being.

the more you allow things
in yourself and in your surroundings to take place
the more order you will have.”

What is happens in Zen Therapy sessions?
Zen Therapy methods are inspired by evidence-based psychotherapy techniques (e.g., MBCT and DBT) and ancient spiritual practices of the East (e.g., meditation, yoga, Tai Chi). The therapeutic process is tailored according to your needs and may involve:
-
Guided self-awareness to recognize patterns and intuitive behavior
-
Dialectic inquiry to challenge assumptions about self and others
-
Comparative thinking to broaden perspective and soften rigid beliefs
-
Mental imagery exercises to reconnect with your natural flow
-
Meditation to learn how to regulate your mind and thought processes
-
Breathwork to train attention and calm the nervous system
Each session weaves these practices into an open invitation to uncover the stories that act as dams blocking your natural flow.
“Happiness is your nature.
It is not wrong to desire it.
What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.”
― Sri Ramana Maharshi
How are the sessions conducted?
The first session focuses on determining whether Zen Therapy is a good fit for you. The process begins after it is established that your current psychological state could benefit from Psi Zen’s approach.
Zen Therapy sessions last 45-60 minutes and may be held in-person or remotely, depending on preference and availability. In-person meetings take place in a setting where you feel safe and comfortable. Remote sessions are conducted over secure platforms to protect your privacy.
Every session follows strict confidentiality and informed-consent principles. If additional care is needed, we will discuss clear and supportive referral options.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious,
it will direct your life
and you will call it fate."
― Carl Gustav Jung

Who can benefit?
Zen Therapy is an approach informed by wisdom, philosophy and science. People who feel stuck in their self-stories, comfort zones, chronic rumination, trauma-shaped behavioral patterns, persistent anxiety, heightened stress, and sudden life transitions can find great help in Zen Therapy. By broadening your perspective, it supports you in discovering your unique role and function in life as an individual.
Zen Therapy is not intended as a treatment for severe psychiatric conditions. It can be practiced alongside medical or psychological care as a support, and it is compatible with most religious beliefs and practices.
Wherever you are on your journey, Zen Therapy is intended to be used as a method of self-understanding that helps you return to your true nature.
Important:
While Zen Therapy can offer meaningful support, it is not a substitute for emergency or specialized psychiatric care.
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms (such as active suicidal intent or psychosis), please contact local emergency services or seek specialized clinical care.
All sessions observe confidentiality and informed-consent guidelines; referrals for additional care will be offered when appropriate.

Zen Therapy Forms
The path of Zen Therapy takes many forms, each meeting you where you are. You may walk it alone, share it with a small circle, bring it into your closest relationships, or let it guide a team into harmony. The essence is the same for all forms: a practice of self-awareness, letting go of rigid stories, and returning to the natural flow between self, others, and the world. Have a peek at the therapy forms below and take the first step in your path.
Personal Sessions
Focus
One-on-one sessions focus on your unique psychological and mental patterns. Together, we explore how you perceive and respond to the world, mapping the stories you tell yourself and how they shape your life.
Journey
As your attachment to these stories dissolves, we begin uncovering what lies beyond them – your true nature. It feels like remembering how to ride a bicycle: uncertain and wobbly at first, but feels natural once recalled. Each session helps you learn to live more spontaneously from the inside out, rather than calculating every move through the old narratives.
Destination
Over time, a quiet confidence will emerge. As self-acceptance settles in, your responses grow wiser. Eventually, you will feel as though carried by the currents of life, instead of swimming against it.
